Can you make a leather jacket less squeaky? I love this jacket but it’s just so very squeaky that I can hardly wear it.
Edit: Since this post still keeps getting comments with advice I thought I’d let you know the problem is solved. I got some leather conditioning stuff and now it hardly squeaks at all.

I am trying to find out the same thing regarding my new Adidas that sound so much I can barely walk in the halls of work without making everyone turn their heads.
I read something about rubbing the leather with saddle soap. I have no idea if it works though.

I am not sure either…other than putting something on it that gives it a smoother or more moist surface.
This link virtually suggests the essence of what that other person said, fixing it by wearing it, but the process is sped up and involves giving the jacket a beatdown.

Would leather lotion help a jacket squeak less, maybe?

Probably by conditioning it with any number of leather lotions out there, it may keep the leather from sticking to itself and creating friction. My husband works with leather and that is what he suggests. ;) Good luck!

I bought a motorcycle jacket, which I love, but the squeaking was terrible. I just saddle soaped it, and so far the squeaking has stopped!

Thanks! It was a Swedish brand but I’m sure it’s easy to find something similar at any place that sells leather stuff.
