More stocking advice needed!

I have another stocking inquiry!

My fancy nylon stockings get snags where the skirt hem rubs against them when I walk, even though I always wear slips under my tight skirts (though I guess they sometime ride up a bit under the skirt). Does this happen to anyone else, and is there anything to do about it to prevent the same thing happening to future pairs?

Do you think a bit of tape over the hem might help?

Wow. Is that you!? You’re absolutely stunning! About your problem, um, I’m not quite sure especially if you’re wearing a slip. I would agree with the last post. Run your finger along the hem and check for rough edges, then try hem tape. Then try hem tape. That’s all I can think of!

Marlilyn Monroe! Åh, vad vacker du är.

As Treacle said, I like to use bias binding on the hem. A nice satin binding helps a lot. The other tips that works is to rub some moisturizing cream into your legs over the TOP of the stockings. It cuts out any static electricity too. :)

Thanks for the tips!

I found some cool tights here!

Not sure if someone already said this, but if you want to salvage the nylons without the run getting worse you can put clear nail polish over it. As for how to prevent the issue entirely, I’m not sure. Happens to me too.
