Earlier in December me and Henrik went to Disney World. We left again just one day later to spend Christmas with my family so I never had the time to post any photos, but here are photos from the arrival and our first day which was spent at Disney’s Animal kingdom.
At our hotel, Port Orleans Riverside, which was wonderful.
Getting ready to go to Animal Kingdom.
After riding Expedition Everest, it was great! It was so insanely humid that it was impossible to keep my hair curled, it started going straight as soon as I got out of the door. I kept hair pins and elastics in my bag every day to save my hairdo when it started drooping. I wonder if people who live in Florida are just doomed to have unstyled hair forever?
The Dinosaur ride was so scary. I loved it and we went on it at least three times.
We loved the picture on the “don’t feed the animals” sign.
Animal Kingdom was definitely my favourite park at Disney World. It was beautiful and although the rides were few Expedition Everest and Dinosaur were some of the best rides in all of Disney World. It was also really calm and not at all crowded when we were there.

You look very vintage cute! And looks like you had a good time. I haven’t been to Disney World in more than a decade now….but I remember it as being so fun. Love the mouse ears ;)

Yes, most Floridians are doomed to have unstylish hair. Even flat irons can’t compact the horrible frizz/wavy that sneaks back in about two hours after you’ve been outside. So, we all have either wilted hair or stylish, but untouchable hair coated in hard hairspray. :(

Do you sleep with pin curls, or do you set your hair in the morning (with setting lotion)? I really want to know since your hair always is so lovely.

Thanks! I sleep with pin curls but I set it just once a week and it holds up well until next time. When I’m on a trip or so, like in the photos above, I tend to reset my (dry) hair every night though because I want to be sure my hair looks it’s best every day.

Oh, I wish I could set my hair once a week, but my curls goes straight very quickly although I use several kinds of setting and spray.

Could you do a blogpost about your hair - hair cut, setting it, products, etc.?
I love your hair and would love to have to tricks. :)

Am I right in thinking you bleach your hair at home? If so I would love to know how you do this as I asked me hairdresser about this but she told me it’s impossible to do as you can’t see the back of your own head. I suspect that is becuase it is more convenient for me to go back to her every 6 weeks or so to pay for my roots but as I am a student I really need to start doing this myself. Do you have any tips?
Johanna, johannaost.com
I do, and I guess it depends on how much you care that the colour is perfectly even. My bathroom mirror/cabinet is of the type that folds out so I have one mirror on each side of my head, so with those I can pretty much see the entire back of my head, which is very convenient not only for bleaching, but I’ve bleached and dyed my own hair long before I had this mirror. The bleach I use comes with a little brush that I use, and I brush the bleach on just the unbleached roots but with some slight overlap. It doesn’t always turn out EXACTLY the same shade of blond, it might be a tiny bit darker, but it’s not at all noticeable with the hairdos I wear, and I don’t think anyone would notice it if I wore my hair straight either.
I wish I could afford having my roots done by someone else because it’s really boring!
