On the last day we went back to the Magic Kingdom, and also went to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in the evening.

Magic Kingdom was more fun this day, but it’s still nowhere near as good as Disneyland. So many rides were worse versions of their Disneyland equivalents. Space Mountain felt like nothing compared to the Disneyland one (we only went on it once compared to as many times as possible at Disneyland), Pirates of the Caribbean was a lot shorter and had no Blue Bayou restaurant, there was no Indiana Jones (my favourite ride ever!) and Main Street sort of felt shorter but I was probably imagining that.

The ride with the biggest negative difference was probably the Buzz Lightyear ride. At Disneyland this is one of the best rides ever that you want to ride again and again, but here it was no fun at all and we only went on it once. Those cannons were impossible to aim and there was no light and sound to indicate when you hit something, there seemed to be only one type of target, and I think the scenes and music might have been a bit less good as well. They really should change it.

Mickey’s very Merry Christmas Party was really nice. I loved the show we watched and the parade. It was not crowded and there was a nice calm feeling and Christmas music everywhere.

All in all my opinion of Disney World is that although there were many parks, none of those parks alone lived up to the greatness of Disneyland, the only one that really impressed me was Animal Kingdom. The rides felt fewer since they were spread out over so many parks, at Disneyland everything is conveniently in one place and California Adventure is right next door.

The hotels were amazing though and if they brought the hotels, Animal Kingdom and the Boardwalk to Disneyland it would be the perfect combination for me.

Indiana Jones is my favorite ride too! I haven’t been to Disney World before, but am glad to hear a review of it. I used to have a year round pass to Disneyland and went about once a month for 2-3 years. I love it.

me too, Indiana Jones ride!

i grew up in L.A. and there is no comparing to Disneyland…happy new year johanna!

We just went to Disney World two weeks ago! You took some beautiful pictures. It was my first trip there. When we went it was cold, & the lines were super long. We also have a 8 month baby which made things more difficult but it was still wonderful. I think I liked animal kingdom the best.
