Betty Grable is one of my favourite actresses. She’s just so charming, a great dancer and had some of the best hair of the 40s. My favourite Betty movie is The Dolly Sisters, it’s the height of glamour, but almost all of Betty’s movie are great, and if they’re not great they tend to at least be beautiful to look at. Some of my other favourites are Springtime in the Rockies, Moon over Miami, Tin Pan Alley (which I wish was in colour!) and of course How to Marry a Millionaire.

Betty wears this dress in Springtime in the Rockies and it’s so beautiful. This picture doesn’t do it justice.

I love this blouse or dress! I love anything exotic and tropical really.

She had the most amazing range of hairstyles! Whenever I am feeling a bit bored with my current ‘do’ I look at photos of her and try and recreate them. The scene from the Dolly sisters ‘Powder, lipstick, Rouge’ is one of my most favourite scenes to watch…ever.
