Tropical feedsack dress

I made a new dress! The fabric is a feedsack that I’m guessing is from the 40s, and it’s just amazing. There were a lot of rips and stains on it so I had to do a lot of piecing together.

The pattern I used was Simplicity 1435 if someone is interested, though I only used it for the bodice.

I love this dress so much, I honestly think it’s one of the most fantastic dresses I’ve seen. I’ve never seen a feedsack print I liked better, and it matches my huge flower earrings-I-tend-to-use-as-dress-clips so perfectly.

Made a new dress!

It is gorgeous, love the print of the fabric, and those earrings/dress clips are so fabulous x

Well done - lovely dress. :)

The most gorgeous dress I’ve seen for a long time!! Stunning! I wish I could sew well enough to copy you ;)

Beautiful! I saw the pics on flickr, but didn’t realize you made it :). I just started making skirts/dresses from vintage patterns/fabric. I’m having so much fun with it ~

It is gorgoeus and I was amazed how you managed to look so cool and collected when I saw you on the train. I felt like I was melting and probably looked it too. :)

Thank you! I did not feel cool and collected at all :D I was definitely melting too.

Jag kan bara hålla med, UNDERBAR klänning!!!
