Later than ever, but here’s July’s Instagram photos!

Leonora Carrington has been one of my favourite artists since I was about 11, but I never knew anything about her as a person. I got this book a while ago and I’m so happy I didn’t just look at the pretty pictures because reading about her life is one of the most inspiring things I’ve done.

Taschen sale delivery!

Unintentionally put on quite a nice outfit while reaching for the coolest things I could find for this sweltering weather (also unintentionally a bit westerny which is fitting since I’m still on a spaghetti western binge).

And now I unintentionally matched my snack to my outfit, what is this?!

Getting ready for a 50s night and feeling like the pyjama party in Grease.

Favourite nightie. Well, only nightie really, but it’s a good one!

“The Witch” print (it makes a really lovely print) going out.

Photo from some months ago. (Yes, my socks are always threadbare (or worse)).

The look of the day is western saloon girl by way of the 70s. Inspired by adorable Patty Shepard in Stranger and the Gunfighter. As usual hair never looks as big in photos as in real life…

Wild West undies.

Drinking in Liselotte’s garden a couple of months ago.

My Venus flytrap is in bloom! I know it could kill it but I didn’t catch it in time, besides its been so much fun to see it shoot out this super long snakely tentacle.

Another photo from midsummer. Picking flowers in the street where I grew up.

Flea market outfit with huge borrowed hat.

Breakfast.

Rhubarb pie dough.

Haha I never noticed this before, and apparently neither did they. Sorting through my old trading cards.

Some highlights from those Taschen pinup magazine books I got.

Attractive faces.

Some people requested more pictures of the flat. Here’s the hallway. It’s pink and a bit 80s.

All packed!

Arriving in York!

In the hotel room.

Nightly hotel shenanigans in my new PJs.

Watching comedy clips with Claire.

Found my proper element in Scarborough. Absolutely loved it.

On the train back to York again.

Watching The Omen with Claire.

Hotel room takeout feast every night! The food on this trip has been the best. All pub food, fish and chips and other fried and battered things, interspersed with sushi.

In the minster.

Claire with hot chocolate.

Stalking the streets of York.

Walking along the city walls.

Submerged lily pads in murky waters.

Very pleased.

A bit sad to be back in Sweden, but it’s so exciting to see what my plants have been up to. Look at Nepenthes growing like crazy! One of the pitchers has almost doubled in size.

The purple basil I’m growing from seed is doing well.

The Sarracenia (pitcher plant) is making a flower! Really excited about this.

The giant monster Aloe Vera is having babies.

And what’s this green shoot in the Pepperomia pot? It doesn’t even look like it’s part of the same plant.

Found some of the best slimy sludge ever in a stone trough near our York hotel.

York dream house.

Henrik gave me these brilliant earrings by Forbidden Charm!

Can’t resist making faces whenever I turn the selfie camera on!

Outfit for Henrik’s birthday.

Gorgeous new lingerie! Haven’t had a matching set for ages. Reminds me of ruched lampshades.

Lounging around in this feeling terribly glamorous.

Perfect gifts/souvenirs from Claire. Tacky/brilliant Dracula souvenir thimble (even better since we actually found it in Scarborough) and some amazing vintage sunglasses.

Working on my pins.
