Finally, the last post! The next to last day we went to Universal Studios. The studio tour was great and the 3D King Kong thing was amazing, but otherwise I wasn’t too impressed by the park. The Simpsons ride was pretty cool, but it gave me some mild motion sickness. I chickened out from going on the Jurassic Park ride, despite it being one of my top favourite movies, since you couldn’t tell from the outside how far the drop was. Henrik said I didn’t miss much though.
In the evening we went to Griffith Observatory. I wanted to go there mostly because it’s in Earth Girls are Easy, and I’m so glad we did. The view was spectacular and the building was beautiful and it was the perfect ending to the trip.
I really had a wonderful time in L.A. and this is probably my favourite trip so far. I hope I’ll get to go back some day. I especially loved the palm trees everywhere. I’m extremely fond of palm trees, they’re the most glamorous of trees and so exotic to me so I thought everything was just beautiful.
The Psycho house and motel.
This was in Frankenstein and the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
The courthouse from Back to the Future! Though partly covered by an outer facade for some current tv show.
Taking a walk around the Magic Castle before going to the airport.
