Sketch book

I’ve written before about keeping a sketch book, and on my New York trip I finally found a good book for the purpose (it was a lot harder than I thought finding a simple bound book with unlined paper).

I haven’t sketched as much as I had hoped, and I still manage to put a bit too much pressure on myself to make good and interesting sketches, but here’s a post on my accumulated sketches so far, not including the two Valentine’s Day motifs I did in February, which were actually also from my sketchbook.

One of my favourite pastimes is dreaming about owning a glamorous nightclub and making up elaborate Ziegfeld style shows for it.

“Never trust a man whose eyebrows meet”. Really boring sketch, but inspired by one of my favourite movies.

The book I was reading at the time. I’ve been reading a lot of Lovecraft lately.
