A few photos Henrik took on a visit to Nationalmuseum a while ago. It’s pretty much just photos of me though since no photos were allowed at Lust och last, the exhibition we went to see. It was really good though.

Finally, the last post! The next to last day we went to Universal Studios. The studio tour was great and the 3D King Kong thing was amazing, but otherwise I wasn’t too impressed by the park. The Simpsons ride was pretty cool, but it gave me some mild motion sickness. I chickened out from going on the Jurassic Park ride, despite it being one of my top favourite movies, since you couldn’t tell from the outside how far the drop was. Henrik said I didn’t miss much though.
In the evening we went to Griffith Observatory. I wanted to go there mostly because it’s in Earth Girls are Easy, and I’m so glad we did. The view was spectacular and the building was beautiful and it was the perfect ending to the trip.
I really had a wonderful time in L.A. and this is probably my favourite trip so far. I hope I’ll get to go back some day. I especially loved the palm trees everywhere. I’m extremely fond of palm trees, they’re the most glamorous of trees and so exotic to me so I thought everything was just beautiful.

The second day in LA was my 27th birthday. First we went on the Warner Brothers studio tour which was great. I loved seeing stuff from the Batman movies, and of course Central Perk! It was also great seeing one of he neon violins from Gold Diggers of 1933.
Then we went to The Beverly Hills Hotel and ate at The Fountain and when we got back we checked out the hand and foot prints by the Chinese Theatre.

In Los Angeles we stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel. Our room had quite a few problems, most notably some loud humming machine right outside our window, and the window wouldn’t shut all the way, but the staff and service were really really great, they even had a free mini bar menu, and the location was perfect as well.
The first day after arriving from Disneyland we went on one of those guided bus tours. It’s the first time we’ve done that but it was a great way to see Los Angeles, especially since it ‘s so big and sprawling, and our guide seemed to really know his stuff. One part of the tour was looking at celebrity houses, which I didn’t expect to be very interested in, but driving around Beverly Hills looking at beautiful houses ended up being my favourite part of the tour. Beverly Hills was amazing, it looked completely unreal, and so different from all other places I’ve visited in America. We also saw the Playboy mansion! Or at least glimpsed it, and the house from Fresh Prince of Bel Air :)
After the tour we went to The Hollywood Museum. It’s in the amazing Max Factor building and the Max Factor make up rooms were my very favourite part of the entire trip. It was really the ultimate Hollywood glamour experience for me and I could have stayed there forever. The rest of the museum was great as well.

I just finished sorting through all the photos from our Disneyland/LA trip, so here’s the first batch, the Disneyland photos!
Disneyland was great as usual but a little different with Halloween versions of a few rides. The “Ghost Galaxy” version of Space Mountain was pretty good, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the Haunted Mansion Holiday, although I am a huge fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas.
We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn which was really great and very close to the parks, we only took the shuttle once and I actually think walking was quicker.
